Characteristics
MBR can maintain a high concentration of microbial biomass in the bio-pond. There are few excess sludge in the process. It can remove ammonia nitrogen effectively. The suspended matter and turbidity of the effluent are close to zero. The bacteria and viruses in the effluent are removed by a large margin. The energy consumption is low and the area occupied is small.
